National Security Minister condemns wanton killings in Guyana

Minister of National Security, Senator The Honourable Martin Joseph condemns in the strongest possible terms the wanton killings of 12 nationals of Guyana, including three police officers, on Sunday night.

Minister Joseph has also expressed great concern over the attack on police stations and the killing of three law enforcement officers there.

The Minister, who is the Chair of Caricom Ministers of National Security and Law Enforcement, said he is appalled at the senseless killings and loss of lives through this dastardly act by cold-blooded killers.

Minister Joseph is in the process of contacting Guyana’s Minister of Home Affairs, The Honourable Clement Rohee to offer condolences to the people of Guyana, and to determine what assistance, if any, may be needed at this time.
