Cyber Security Incident Response Team (TT-CSIRT)
Cyber Security Incident Response Team (TT-CSIRT)
TT‑CSIRT is Trinidad and Tobago’s national Cyber Security Incident Response Team, operating under the Ministry of Homeland Security to coordinate incident response, share threat intelligence, and strengthen national cyber resilience.
Origin
TT‑CSIRT was established in November 2015 as part of the country’s National Cyber Security Strategy, created with technical support from the Organization of American States and the International Telecommunication Union. It was set up as a strategic government capability to serve as the nation’s official CSIRT.
National Functions & Services
TT‑CSIRT serves as the official national focal point for cyber incidents affecting Trinidad and Tobago, coordinating responses across public and private sectors. Its core functions include incident response and recovery, cyber threat intelligence and advisories, security assessments and vulnerability management, support for policy and standards development, and assistance to government and critical infrastructure operators. The team also builds national capability through training and awareness programmes, collects and analyses incident data, assesses risks to critical infrastructure, and facilitates information sharing among stakeholders to improve overall national cyber resilience.
