WORK PERMIT
Note: All applicants are asked to carefully read and follow the process outlined below, to ensure accuracy in the processing of applications.
This service is applicable to any non-national of Trinidad and Tobago who is seeking employment in Trinidad and Tobago, whether for gain or not, and is desirous of obtaining a work permit.
A person entering Trinidad and Tobago to engage in gainful occupation for one period not exceeding thirty days in every twelve consecutive months, need not apply for a work permit.

Using the Online Work Permit Application forms
The following method should be used when submitting an application online:
1.To access the SEW system, an Applicant must first obtain a ttconnect identification number and sign up on TTBizLink for the relevant e-services he/she wishes to use, such as the Work Permit e-service. The Applicant can then apply for a TTBizLink ID.
2. The registered Applicant submits an e-application to the WPS via the TTBizLink website
3.The applicant needs to fill the application form and click on the submit button to submit the application.
4.The system would automatically generate a confirmation code.
5.The applicant has the option of emailing the confirmation code by supplying an email address or printing the confirmation code.
6.The Applicant must also visit the Ministry of National Security to provide any supporting documentation. Please note that the confirmation code would be used to reference the application made and as such the applicant would be required to present the confirmation code when visiting the Ministry of National Security.

Application for a Group Work Permit or Extension of a Group Work Permit (Applications for 10 or more Work Permits)
Applications being submitted for 10 or more individuals must be submitted using the single application form titled “Application for Group Work Permit or an Extension of Group Work Permit’”. This form may also be accompanied by form WPGA FORM 3 B and WPGA FORM 3 C where necessary (please refer to the Guidelines for submitting Applications for individuals and group applicants for further instructions).

The group application form is currently available in an editable .PDF format (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader ).
The supporting forms (WPGA FORM 3 B and Form WPGA FORM 3 B) are provided in .xls format (requires Microsoft Excel).
Currently there are two ways of apply for a Work Permit. These are:
1.Using the printable .pdf forms. These must be filled in, printed and manually submitted using your preferred method of submission.
2.Using the Online Work Permit Application forms

Using the printable .pdf forms to apply for a Work Permit (Applications for 1 to 9 Work Permits)
Forms can be filled in using one of the following methods:
1.Fill the form online, print and attach applicant’s signature etc.
2.Save the form to your computer, fill-in, print and attach applicant’s signature etc.
3.Print the form and fill-in hand-written.

Forms WPGA 3 B and WPGA 3 C should only be attached where necessary

Applicants are reminded that application forms and their accompanying attachments must be securely fastened to ensure that they do not become separated in the submission process.

The following method should be used when submitting an application online:
1.The Group Work Permit Application form can be accessed by clicking here.
2.The applicant needs to fill the application form and click on the submit button to submit the application
3.The system would automatically generate a confirmation code.

Instructions for accessing Online Forms
How to View PDF Files Once the Acrobat Reader software is properly installed, you just need to click on a link to a .pdf file and it will be loaded of viewing on your computer. note that the file is sent to your computer as a temporary file that will be deleted when you exit your browser. On the site, .pdf files are indicated as (.pdf) following the document name and/ or by the PDF icon symbol:
How to Print PDF Files When printing Acrobat PDF files within your browser, do NOT use the web browser print menu. Instead, use the print button at the left end of the special Acrobat toolbar, which appears immediately above the viewing window.
How to Save PDF When printing an Acrobat .pdf document after opening it for viewing, click on the disk file icon at the left end of the special Acrobat toolbar, which appears immediately above the viewing window. A “Save as” window opens with a .pdf in the file name box. Select a location to save it and give it a name and press okay.

How to access Excel (.xls) Forms
1.Click on the respective link to access the form.
2.When prompted, choose the option to save the file to disk.
3.Make note of the location to which the file is being saved.
4.Click OK to continue.
5.When the file download is completed, browse to the location where the file was saved.
6.Open the file and fill-in the required information.
7.Click on SAVE to save any changes made to the file.
8.When printing, please ensure to adjust the print range to include only those pages which contain the entered data.
NOTE: Failure to adjust the print range may result in the printing of excessive sheets.
