Ms. Nataki Atiba-Dilchan assumed duties as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of National Security on January 13, 2021.
Permanent Secretary Atiba-Dilchan joins the Ministry with vast experience in the Public Service, after first being appointed an administrative role at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs twenty nine (29) years ago. In 2003, she went on to serve as a Parliamentary Clerk before transitioning to Clerk of the Senate in 2011.
Before assuming her tenure here at the Ministry of National Security, Ms. Atiba-Dilchan served as Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Communications over the period 2019 to 2021. She has also acted as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs (AGLA) from 2018 to 2019 and previously served as Deputy Permanent Secretary in that Ministry over the period 2016 to 2018.
PS Atiba-Dilchan holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Legislative Studies from the University of Hull, UK; a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History from the University of the West Indies (UWI); and an Associate Degree in Information Technology from the College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago (COSTAATT).
Outside of her professional duties Ms. Atiba-Dilchan enjoys spending quality time with her family. She is a devoted mother, who is committed to raising a generation of upstanding and productive citizens of Trinidad and Tobago.
